Glass Art When I have time, I enjoy creating independent work. This can be anything: sleek and geometric, free forms, very colorful, or simply in various shades of a single color. The work below is for sale at my studio in Delft. If you are interested, please get in touch. Naturally, you are welcome to come and view the work up close without obligation.
Squared Square
A squared square in green, blue, purple, and red; the colors are based on an oil painting of frogs. The squared square is a mathematical puzzle: a square made up of smaller squares, each of a different size, where no colored square touches itself. Since the early 1900s, mathematicians worldwide have been searching for the squared square consisting of the fewest squares possible. This square was discovered in 1978 by the mathematician AJW Duijvestijn. This remains the solution requiring the smallest number of squares: just 21. Glass types used: cathedral, mouth-blown, artista. Dimensions: 101.5 x 101.5 cm. Fitted with hanging hooks, sealed, not patinated.

Jan Schoonhoven
This window is inspired by the work of the Delft artist Jan Schoonhoven. He worked in 3D with white painted cardboard, allowing him to create the most beautiful shadows. Since I work in 2D, I have found a different solution to achieve a similar effect. This window is constructed from two shades of white translucent opal glass. One type has a dichroic side, which means that metal oxides have been applied to this side. This gives the glass a pearlescent sheen. Dimensions: 41.5 x 41.5 cm. Fitted with hanging hooks, sealed, not patinated.
Sunflowers
Window made using the Tiffany technique, own design. The window is constructed from various types of yellow, brown, and clear glass. Thanks to the glass structures, it can be used as a privacy window while allowing plenty of light to pass through. Glass types used: Cathedral, Water, Uroburos, Opal. Dimensions: 93 x 82 cm. Patinated and fitted with hanging hooks.
